baby, i think i have a crush on you
you crawled and crept in unknowingly
you have nestled right in my sweet spot
how, is unbeknown to you and me

the wings of my heart have spread once again
butterflies two step within the pit of me
feelings are foreign and the language i cannot yet speak
but hopefully we will learn this new culture and see

unsure strangers turned into friends at the start
then from friends, accidental lovers gave birth
awkwardness set sail and we started back at one
giving way to a premonition that we were yet to be apart

all is brand new and i dont know where it is going
perhaps it is just a lifelong friend that i have uncovered
perhaps you'll take a chance on the woman that i am
and on this comfortable journey we'll just keep on sailing
